Get Winter Ready

Winter Weather Reminders:

• Protect your pipes- where pipes are exposed to the cold, ensure there is insulation around the pipes to prevent freezing.
• Check sprinklers or irrigation systems- ensure you've turned off everything and fully drained the system.
• Know how to shut off your water- locate your main water shut off valve so you don't have to search for it in emergencies.
• Always have heating alternatives in case of power outages.
• Keep water working- keep water moving in pipes by allowing a small trickle of water to run in freezing weather. Once the outside temp is above 32 degress, you can turn the small trickle of water off.
• Give pipes a helping hand- if pipes run through cabinets or vanities, open the doors to let warmer air flow in.
